Fr. Geary’s Letter for 3-17-24
Dear Parishioners of St. James: Praised be Jesus Christ! The issue of In Vitro Fertilization has made national headlines recently and it is useful to know the Church’s teaching on this matter in order to inform our consciences. Spouses who desire to have children but cannot through no fault of their own suffer great heartache andContinue reading “Fr. Geary’s Letter for 3-17-24”
Carta de P. Geary, 3-17-2024 – Español
¡Alabado sea Jesucristo! Schuessler’s Reflection 3-15-24
Let’s finish our reflection on the Lord’s Prayer with the final petition: “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.” Someone once asked why we would have to ask God not to lead us into temptation as though He might. God is not going to lead us into temptation. It is like saying to someone: “Don’t let meContinue reading “Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 3-15-24”
Fr.

Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 3-8-24
Let’s continue to try to reflect on the Lord’s Prayer. We pray: “Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” A friend of mine said: Yikes! That’s the zinger!” Not very theological but seems to get to the point. And Jesus doubles down: Mt. 6: 14-15 “If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you. But ifContinue reading “Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 3-8-24”
Fr.
