Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Praised be Jesus Christ!
Jesus is truly the King of the universe, but His kingship is not of this world. His throne was the Cross, His crown was of thorns, His royal Blood was poured out for His subjects, His message to His enemies was forgiveness. The authority of King Jesus was exercised in dying for the ones over whom He rules.
Jesus is the King of mercy. He delights in forgiving us every time we repent of our sins. He goes beyond forgiveness in bestowing good things upon the undeserving. He will give endless life to those who receive Him.
Jesus is the King of the poor. He proclaims blessed those who are humble, poor, and least among others. Those who suffer now accumulate the most wealth from our beneficent King.
Jesus is the King of peace. Everything is His, especially human hearts. He seeks to conquer us by His love, and promises paradise for those who trust in Him.
We have made partakers of the kingdom of God through Jesus Christ our King. His kingdom will have no end. May He rule over us and in us while we follow Him in faith until the never-ending day of paradise where we will rejoice with Our King safely face to face.
God bless you,
