Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Praised be Jesus Christ!
With overwhelming gratitude to Almighty God and to all of you, thank you for the honor to celebrate with you the occasion of my Silver Jubilee as a priest. May I echo Our Lady’s hymn of praise: “The Almighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name; he has looked with favor on his lowly servant.” (Lk. 1:48-49) The Lord has indeed shown mercy to His unworthy servant these 25 years, 15 of which have been offered to you, my dear parishioners of St. James.
Our journey together continues guided by divine providence. A parish priest is privileged to live among his people in order to save their souls. He shepherds them through this world so fraught with dangers. The priest teaches divine truth and nourishes them through the Sacraments. You, the Lord’s flock, encourage the shepherd by your faithfulness to Jesus Christ.
Thank you for your prayers and support. Forward we travel together with faith, hope, and love in our pilgrimage to the heavenly Jerusalem. May the Blessed Virgin Mary always keep us close to Jesus and to each other in the holy Catholic Church so that we may rejoice together without end in our heavenly home.
