Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Christ is Risen, Alleluia!
God is in the Holy Mass! Every day Christians gather to celebrate the Sacred Mysteries of the passion, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ, God in the flesh. He is calling all mankind to find Him, Victor over death and hell, Jesus Christ our Lord.
The Holy Mass is where we find Jesus, risen from the dead. Jesus is present when, “Two or three gather in my name” (Mt. 18:20). He is present in His Word proclaimed in the Scriptures. Jesus is present in the person of the priest as he breaks open the Scriptures and offers the Holy Sacrifice. And He is present in a most excellent way in the Most Holy Eucharist, the real Presence of Jesus, His body, blood, soul, and divinity.
Jesus Christ is alive; death no longer has power over Him (Rom. 6:8). God the Father calls you to worship His Son. Come to hear His Word and be encouraged. Come to His altar and participate in the Sacrifice which saves us. Come and eat worthily the Bread of Life. Come to Holy Mass and you will find God.
