Praised be Jesus Christ!
Our nation was founded on the principle of self government under God. This presupposes the practice of virtue toward oneself and one’s neighbor and the vigorous practice of right religion. Without virtue and right religion the government our forefathers established will not long endure.
Virtue is the habit and firm disposition of choosing the good. The freedom upon which our republic depends must be exercised to choose good, not evil. Choosing evil is an abuse of our freedom, not its exercise. Evil metastasizes when human beings cooperate with it. Good grows when chosen (properly). The exercise of our free will determines the moral state of our country. Choosing pride, envy, gluttony, avarice, anger, lust and sloth will result in less freedom as the government imposes more laws to combat sin (or, even, to enshrine it). Choose what is good, therefore, in order for American freedom to grow.
The Catholic Faith is revealed by our creator as right religion. Living and spreading the Catholic Faith will ensure a peaceful American future. Jesus Christ is the universal King of all. Human forms of government that respect the laws of Jesus Christ will flourish. Countries which reject the revelation of Jesus are doomed to fail.
Do not waste the free choices with which God has empowered you. As grateful Americans in a blessed country let us strive to use our God-given freedom to choose a better future here and an eternity in heaven hereafter.
