Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Praised be Our Risen Lord, alleluia!
Without the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead our suffering makes no sense. But Jesus did rise. He is alive. He will never die again. He rose from the dead so that we might rise from the dead. Death is not the last word on our life – the Resurrection is the last word.
At our Baptism we died with Jesus on the Cross and we were raised with Jesus from the dead. We have already died, we have already been raised. Live your new life as one whose resurrection has already been accomplished. Turn away from sin, live in joy, forgive generously, love God with all you have as you merit an even greater share in heavenly glory.
Bask in the glory of Our Risen Saviour today. Go forward through this earthy pilgrimage with your heads held high confident in your own resurrection. Jesus Christ has conquered death and manifested the Resurrection, alleluia.
If we persevere in the Faith we will see Him as He is: gloriously triumphant in His Risen Body, alleluia, alleluia!
