Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Praised be Jesus Christ!
In the midst of this political season the work of the Lord continues. We are in the midst of a capital campaign to retire our church building debt called “Fulfilling Our Promise.” When we initiated this campaign at the beginning of 2020 we owed more than $1,600,000 to the diocese on our loan for our newly expanded church. To date, we have received $625,000 toward the debt. We’re off to a great start! We still have a ways to go and we need your help.
Please discern what kind of gift you will make to the campaign. We know that everyone is not able to make the same size of gift but we ask you to make the same size of sacrifice. Sacrifice bears good fruit; without sacrifice we cannot bear good fruit. Consider what God has given you and be generous. Next Sunday, (November 14-15) please pick up your pledge card after Mass in the narthex and return your pledge card to the office, mail it, or place it in the offertory the following Sunday. The Lord will surely reward your generosity.
We also need volunteers to call parishioners on the phone seeking campaign pledges. Training is on November 30th or December 1st in Connolly Hall at 5:00p.m. The phone-a-thon begins immediately after training.
Please pray for the success of our campaign. All things are possible for God. With God’s grace and our cooperation, we will see great things. We will see the retirement of our debt!
God bless you,
