Dear Parishioners of St. James:
Praised be Jesus Christ!
Just before the Covid-19 lockdowns began in March of this year our Parish was ready to begin a debt-reduction campaign to pay off the loan for our newly expanded church. We had planned to do a major kickoff event in the gym to announce the endeavor and to seek your support. Since we cannot meet in large numbers still, we will do our campaign virtually and with limited person to person contact.
Please watch the Fulfilling Our Promise video on our Parish website or on the Parish’s Facebook page. We still owe $1,700,000 on our church loan. We pay thousands of dollars every month just on interest for the loan. We have to make significant progress on the debt if we want to avoid large interest payments for the indefinite future.
Many people have been approached already for the campaign and we’re happy to announce that over $245,000 has already been pledged. Thanks be to God! We are off to a good start. Many of you will receive a letter in the mail asking you to meet with parishioners in order to make a pledge to our three-year campaign. Please be receptive to their request to talk with you and be as generous as possible. With your generosity and God’s continuous help we will Fulfill our Promise. Thank you for your support of the Lord’s work at St. James.
God bless you,
