Regretfully, due to reasons beyond our control, the Diocese of Rockford’s 2022 Totus Tuus Summer Program (Catholic Day Camp) has been canceled.
Families who have already registered and paid for their children to attend this camp will be contacted by the St. James Religious Education Office and issued a full refund.

Latin for TOTALLY YOURS, Totus Tuus is a Summer Program equivalent of Vacation Bible School for Children and Youth.
TOTUS TUUS is a diocesan program that gathers together college students and seminarians onto teams of four each and sends them out to parishes to spread the GOOD NEWS of our LORD among children and youth. They will share their energy, enthusiasm and love of the Catholic faith with the youth of our parish. TOTUS TUUS balances strong catechetical content with having FUN!!!!
For Grade School Children the program consists of Catechetical instruction, songs, games, daily Mass, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Lunch (children bring sack lunch each day, drinks are furnished) recess and more! Grade school children are asked to bring a dozen cookies on the first day and any recess equipment they may want to use for Recess.
The High School Program has catechetical instruction, a night of Adoration and Reconciliation, and a night of fellowship with the team.
The goal of both programs is to help them to know the LORD and love him more deeply. Because of the youthfulness and energy of the teachers the children and youth have FUN as well! The entire parish is invited to a Potluck on Wednesday evening at 5:30 p.m. to meet the team, learn about the content of the program, ask questions, and hear the children sings some songs. We are looking forward to seeing your child(ren) at this exciting event this summer.
