Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 6-30-24
We continue to reflect on the wonderous gift of the Eucharist during this year of Eucharistic Revival. It started because it was reported that some 70% of Catholics did not believe in the Real Presence. Now it seems that depending on how the question is asked, some 70% of Catholics say that they do believe in the Real Presence. In any case we can take advantage of this time to revive and deepen our faith and awe at this great gift. Continue reading “Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 6-30-24”

Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 6-23-24
We continue to reflect on the wonderous gift of the Eucharist. We senior Catholics may remember the hymn O Sacrum Convivium. O holy banquet in which Christ is received. His Passion is called to mind. The soul is filled with grace and the glory yet to come. Holy Communion is the fruit of the Sacrifice of the Mass. St.Continue reading “Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 6-23-24”
Fr.

Fr. Schuessler’s Reflection 6-16-24
In this year of National Eucharistic Revival, we continue to reflect on this great gift. I just read that some 83% of Catholics who attend Mass at least occasionally believe that the Blessed Sacrament is more than a symbol. That is a different statistic from what we have been hearing. (Who knows who is right. They say the answer depends on how the question was asked.) It was said that the people surveyed believe that Jesus is in the consecrated bread and wine.Continue reading “Fr. Fr.
