Praised be Jesus Christ!
The Gospel calls us to recognize God’s gifts and to invest them for the sake of the Kingdom of Heaven. Everything good comes from God Who is perfect goodness. All that we have and are comes from Him. Our response should be gratitude and faithful service.
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday, remember to thank God – the giver of all good gifts. He made us in His image and likeness in order to share in His goodness on earth and forever in Heaven. If we make it to Heaven, we will sing God’s goodness forever together with all of the angels and saints. Living gratefully here and now is the best preparation for thanking God forever in Heaven.
