February 3rd, 6:00 p.m.
St. James Catholic Church
It seems in today’s world that many people are pulled in so many directions that there ends up being no room for faith and God in their lives.
Whatever the reason, people stop coming to church and focusing on their faith; we need to pray for them. For those of us who want to pray for friends, family, and/or loved ones who have fallen away from their Catholic faith, we are offering a special prayer service to ask God to interact with them and move their hearts back to faith and the Church.
During this service, you will have a chance to write the name(s) of someone who has fallen away from their faith or the Church on a provided sheet of paper and then place it into a basket. During the service, this basket will be blessed in front of the altar. After the service, each participant will be asked to take a sheet from the basket and pray for that person whose name(s) is on it. We will sing, listen to scripture, ask for the intercession of St. Monica, and more.
Please join Deacon Steven and others for this prayer service in the sanctuary of St. James Catholic Church on Friday, February 3rd, starting at 6:00 pm. There is power in prayer so let’s pray for our lost or fallen away brothers and sisters!
