The law of Moses was a necessary task master – but it was not able to transform the heart of man. We find in Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount a new law, born of love for God and others. We call this the Beatitudes, because they speak to us of the Beatific One and lead us to Him. The Ten Commandments and the Beatitudes are not merely lists to be memorized or checked off when we examine our consciences. They are proofs of a holy God who desires that we, too, may be holy, that we may be happy with him both now and forever. Join us for a deeper dive into morality led by Fr. Geary. We will meet in Connolly Hall on Tuesday evening at 6:30. Please, join us!
