St. Augustine aptly said, “Man is a beggar before God.” This is true, but it is only one part of our participation in prayer. Prayer is communion,like what we see in the image here of the woman at the well, and interestingly, it is Jesus who initiates this communion. He thirsts for us and our response to His thirst opens up the streams of living water within us that only He can give. Want more? Join Fr.
