We believe in one God…we say it every Sunday…the Creed. We may know it by heart, but how must we live in light of having been given such a great gift, this Faith that demands that we make right moral choices, love and serve our neighbor and become saints along the way? The answer to this question can be reduced to one word: grace, “the undeserved help that God gives us to respond to His call to become children of God, adoptive sons, partakers of the divine nature and of eternal life.” Indeed, grace is the invitation and the means to participate in the very life of God. (CCC 1996 -1997) It is first and primarily through the Sacraments that we tap into this grace, and this will be the focus of our discussion this Tuesday evening.
